About Piedmont SA – UPSL

Piedmont Soccer Academy has taken the next step in its mission to develop soccer in Barrow County, Georgia launching Piedmont SA as a member club of the United Premier Soccer League (UPSL).

The UPSL is the largest pro-development league in North America, with nearly 400 clubs competing across the country. It sits at the 4th tier of the U.S. Soccer pyramid, just below the three fully professional divisions, and serves as the critical bridge between the youth game and professional soccer. Piedmont SA competes in the Georgia Conference at the Division 1 level, with the Fall season running September through December.

This program is about more than just games. It gives elite local players a legitimate competitive platform, connects Athens to a national soccer community, and continues PSA's long-standing commitment to developing players and the sport in our region.
