The R9 class,  is designed for new referees, will be held Saturday Feb 4^th from 10am to 6pm at the Barrow County Recreation Building located at 175 Second Street. The cost is $90. There are no age limits. The class has two parts:  

• an online session – must be completed before attending the class
• a classroom/field session that focuses on how to officiate.
  
  Both sessions are required. The online session must be done first and can be done at any time. YOU MUST TAKE THE ONLINE SESSION BEFORE ATTENDING THE CLASS.  Allow 2 - 6 hours to complete the online session. Register for a class, then log in and begin the Session Tracker. Follow the directions on the screen. Then attend the class. There will be low-intensity field work at the class, so dress appropriately. The link to sign up for the R9 class is:

  The Annual Recertification class for returning R9 and R8 will be held Sunday Feb 5^th from 1pm till 5pm at the Barrow County Recreation Building. The cost is $90. The 2017 Recertification course has four parts:

• A review of the Laws of the Game
• ·video presentations,
• highlights of the 2016-2017 Laws of the Game changes
• the Grade 8 test are all online. The online test is the Grade 8 examination. This will be a challenge for Grade 9 referees. However, a score 70 on this test will be satisfactory. The online work must be completed before attending the classroom session.

 If you plan on attending on know someone who wants to become a referee, please have them sign up sooner rather than later. Both classes have to reach a certain number of registered participates and space is limited. So don’t wait. Reserve your space today. Payment can be made the day of the class. If you miss the classes here in Barrow there are more offered but you will have to drive to other counties. A list of other classes can be found on the GAREFEREES.com website.
